TPF Rules and Guidelines
General Board-wide #1.1 TPF is aimed at a general audience. This means our site is designed for 13 year olds and older. With the exception of the XXX section, everything must be aimed at this age and older. Explicit, drug talk, nudity, porn and so forth is not allowed in the general forum. #1.2 Do not mini-mod. We would like to encourage and thank members to use the report button but not add their own criticism. #1.3 This is a World Wide forum, however, try to use English,but,It is not required. Use what ever language that your comfortable with. If you need help with a translator, let a staff member know. #1.4 No more than 1 account per IP address, if you do, we will ban all your accounts. Infraction System #2.1 Members who disobey the rules will be infracted or banned depending on what the staff believes is the appropriate punishment. #2.2 Members can be infracted a maximum of three times. On the third, the member will be immediately banned for 2 weeks. This does not mean that you have to have a infraction to get banned, staff may ban you without warnings depending on the offense. #2.3 A infraction can have a time limit unless you're banned. If a time limit is set, your infraction will automatically expire after a certain number of days. If you believe you do not deserve the infraction please contact the staffer who infracted you. Talking back to the staffer who gave you the infraction with no sense of respect will lead to further infractions. Posting Etiquette (manners) Posts that break the rules will not be edited, fixed, changed, THEY WILL BE DELETED #3.0 All topics must contain a full description. Screen Shots/ Covers are appreciated for Apps, Books and Albums. Screen Caps of movies are a must, except for DVD Rips. Flaming other members or other forums will lead to a warning, possibly even a ban. #3.3 Topics must be submitted to the relevant forums. Please read the forum descriptions before posting. #3.4 Topic titles must be descriptive. Example: A good example is "Help needed with game". A bad example is "HEEEEELP!". #3.5 Bumping is allowed provided that the reply has relevant information that is useful to the continuance of the topic. Useless bumps are not allowed and it is considered spam! Example: Allowed: A topic discusses a news event. The topic's discussion has died but there is new striking evidence to turn thoughts around. A reply with such information that is relevant and useful is allowed. Allowed: Requests may only be bumped once every 48 hours since the last reply. (not since your last reply) Disallowed: Bumping topics continuously to get them up to the first few pages. #3.6 Excessively replying to your own topics to gain first page exposure is not allowed. Replies such as: 'You're welcome', 'no problem', 'thanks for replies' or similar, are only allowed a maximum of twice per page. #3.7 Double posting of the same links may lead to a warning, especially if you have your own independent topic for a set of links and yet still post the same links in related topics with the intention of gaining exposure. Also use the edit button when altering your reply if you're the last to post in the topic. #3.8 Content of posts should not be explicit, offensive, shocking, discussions of demerit commodities unless it is posted in an educational sense. Content which is inhumane or unethical to be viewed by ages below 13 years old is not allowed. Example: Mainly for movies: Mainstream horror, gore and bloody movies are allowed. Videos such as bum fights, real death scenes, cruelty to animals, or anything which is indecent/sick is not allowed. #3.9 All links must be coded - including, but not limited to, e-mail addresses, passwords and any other link that leads off site eg Code:
Like this[c ode]without the space[/c ode] #3.10 No topic hijacking (going off topic). #3.11 Removal of moderated messages is not allowed. #3.12 The use of unusual presentation methods within topic titles and descriptions with the intent to gain attention is not allowed. Examples and exceptions: Not allowed: Words/phrases such as but not limited to: **** MUST HAVE****, L@@K, LATEST, NEWEST, LOOK HERE, *Newest Version* or other words along these lines including symbols. Allowed: Scene release title created by the release group may include caps and periods. Use of hyphen between words such as music titles. #3.13 Do not post mirrors in someone else's thread, if you wish to post your links, make your own thread. #3.14 No grave digging, if a thread has no replies in the last month... leave it alone. #3.15 Do not post your thread titles and replies in "CAPS LIKE THIS", this is considered yelling. #3.16 Do not post a hidden/redirected links or download leading to anywhere else other than the direct link. No Usercash, No Rapidleech, No Rapidsafe, No Linkbucks,No ********,etc,. Other banned hosting sites are **********.org #3.17 No posting of illicit accounts. This includes: Credit Card Numbers PayPal logins Credit Card logins Bank account logins Any type of phishing #3.17.1 Do not link to an .exe file,all posts with this will be deleted #3.18 XXX : This is the only section that you can post porn in! #3.19 No gay porn (male on male ,transvestite,or transgender) #3.20 No child porn #3.21 No incest porn #3.22 No rape porn #3.23 No bestiality #3.23.1 No Pissing/Pregnant Porn #3.24We do not allow the use of posting bots. #3.25We do not allow Any posts involving vBulletin(ie; Nulled boards,skins,mods) #3.26 Please limit your requests to 1 per week Spam Rules #4.1 You may only promote your website once. Even then, it needs to be in the Links/Sites/Accounts section. #4.2 If you choose to post a link it should benefit everyone and must not be a site of the following categories: Web hosting, Referrals, Affiliation, Warez forums, or other sites that require registration, subscription or a fee to access. Links within posts that link to a 3rd party in order to gain access the content (e.g Link protectors, Text files, etc). #4.3 Passwords that advertise other sites are allowed provided that they are required. If the passwords are not required the poster will be punished as a spamming member. #4.4 Excessive posting of similar messages to increase post count is not allowed. #4.6 The following one-liner messages are classified as spam (Except in Spam Section) Any acronym such as lol. The use of +1...+X within posts. The use of an emote only reply (such as smile). #4.7 DO NOT use a website name as your user name. Trade and Requests #5.1 The trade and exchange of goods and services is not allowed through the medium of money. Only bartering (trading without money) is allowed. Example: The selling of cheap Rapidshare, Megashares, etc accounts is forbidden. #5.2 You must have a post count of at least 10 to request. #5.3 The staff are not liable for any loss caused through an exchange; the person not honoring their side of the transaction would be an example of this. Private Messaging #6.0 All rules apply in regard to private messaging. #6.1 Anyone using PM system to solicit or recruit our staff/members for another website will be permanently banned #6.2 If you are spamming or otherwise abusing the pm system, you will loose the ability to send pm's. Avatars and Signatures #7.1 All rules apply to avatars and signatures. #7.2 All avatars must follow General Board-wide #1.1 rule. #7.3 User names must not refer to an email or any web site - use good taste here. #7.4If your signature needs to be re sized, it is too big and will be removed! Explicit Guidelines #8.1 Sticky Requests: Please do not request a post to be stickied. If there is room to sticky an exceptional post, we will do so. Topics which use a poll to petition a sticky are not allowed. #8.2 To have your user name changed please PM an Admin. #8.3 Asking any staff member if you can be a part of the staff will hinder your chance of ever becoming one. The same applies for RM as well. #8.4 All forum rules apply to each members profile, no referrers, no porn links, no warez forums. #8.5 All forum rules apply to every image posted in messages, signatures, avatars and PM’s. Images must not contain URL's of websites, words that bypass our word censor or any type of serial number. DMCA Policy The Phoenix-Forums.com is in compliance with 17 U.S.C. § 512 and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA").
